Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Requirements Engineer – Cooling & Lubrication to be based at our customers site in Gaydon.
Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Requirements Engineer to join our Electric Drive Unit (EDU) team, with a focus on cooling and lubrication systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in Traceable Requirements Management (TRM) and a strong understanding of electric powertrain systems. This role is critical in defining, managing, and validating system requirements to ensure the successful development and integration of cooling and lubrication components within the EDU.
Key Responsibilities:
· Define and manage system and component-level requirements for EDU cooling and lubrication systems.
· Utilize Traceable Requirements Management (TRM) tools to capture, trace, and validate requirements.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, simulation, testing, and suppliers to ensure requirement alignment.
· Liaise with suppliers to ensure component specifications meet system requirements and performance targets.
· Support the development of requirement validation plans and verification activities.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal processes for requirements engineering.
· Participate in design reviews and provide technical input on cooling and lubrication system integration.
Required Skills & Experience:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
· Proven experience in requirements engineering within the automotive or EV industry.
· Hands-on experience with Technical Requirements Management (TRM) tools and methodologies.
· Strong understanding of cooling and lubrication systems in electric drive units.
· Familiarity with automotive development processes and standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE).
