The School of Nursing & Midwifery at LSBU, has an excellent track record in designing and delivering research programmes for NHS and charitable organisations, using various research methodologies. Our new campus which opened in Croydon in 2021 is committed to working with local communities to improve health through Our Research, Engage, Academia, Community, Technology (REACT) centre which opened in February 2024. Medway NHS Foundation Trust serves 424,000+ people in Kent, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Known for innovation and research, the Trust collaborates with academic institutions to improve healthcare outcomes.
This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to take a lead role in the coordination and delivery of a 12-month stroke research project that will be delivered from LSBU Southwark Campus and Medway Foundation Trust which will involve working closely supporting the Principal Investigator and key stakeholders.
This position is a fixed-term position for 12 months. This role can also be offered on a part-time basis as a job share.
About You:
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
- Extensive experience of data collection, data processing and storage, as well as qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
- Master’s Degree in healthcare, psychology or related areas.
- Excellent organisational and research related administrative skills
- Project management skills
- Experience of Patient and Public Involvement (PPI)
The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree and/or working towards a PhD, be highly motivated and bring a thorough understanding of the UK research policies and processes. Experience within Open Data, Research Integrity and Ethics is highly desirable.
