Grade UE06 £34,132 to £39,355 per annum pro-rata

CAHSS / Moray House School of Education & Sport

Part-time: 7 hours per week

Fixed-term: 28th February 2026

The Opportunity

To play a critical role in maximising the uptake of global active travel statistics by the World Health Organization.

This project involves maximising the use of active travel statistics that have already been estimated as part of a previous project. Participation in walking or cycling for travel has been estimated in over 100 countries. These data would be used by the World Health Organization Physical Activity Unit and regional offices if they were presented in an accessible way.

This position is being advertised internally only to University of Edinburgh students.

We are open to flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Your Skills And Attributes For Success

  • A passion for public health;
  • Experience in managing quantitative datasets using R or another statistical software;
  • An ability to communicate complex information clearly through data tables, power point slides, and in writing;
  • An ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
