London South Bank University are excited to be recruiting for the post of a Research Assistant in LSBU Business School to support with a British Academy/Leverhulme Funded Project titled: Just Transition Towards Sustainable Transportation to Alleviate the Negative Impacts of Urban Overtourism Project. This position offers the successful candidate with the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of a British Academy/Leverhulme funded project into tourism and transport studies. The postholder will have the opportunity to work with a highly motivated, vibrant and international team of academics and network with government and non-governmental bodies. The postholder will also have development opportunities for Research.
This role will be on a part-time, fixed-term basis further details can be found within the candidate pack.
About You:
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
- Experience undertaking research projects which involve the collection, secure storage and analysis of primary data
- Support in most aspects of the research process (e.g., data collection in Manchester and Edinburgh, data analysis and publication).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team.
The ideal candidate will have completed a Master’s degree/is pursuing a PhD, be highly motivated to conduct a mixed method research, have a genuine interest in sustainable transport and have good communication skills that would help with the focus group facilitation. Experience with publication is highly desirable.
