Applications are invited for the above post based at Lifespan and Population Health, School of Medicine. This role is to support the REACHED study which is a novel research project aiming to identify new ways of screening for breast cancer using genomics and blood testing. The role does not include any laboratory work and will focus on the successful co-ordination of sites and public engagement activities. The successful applicant will work with Prof Morling alongside the recruiting NHS sites and the team based at Wobble Genomics Ltd in Edinburgh. The study will collect blood samples from women across the UK and assess if there are any unique candidate markers in their blood which could be used in the future to screen for breast cancer. Your role will include ensuring that any future test is as accessible as possible for a diverse range of women.
You will join Professor Jo Morling and her team in the community of Public Health and Epidemiology. Prof Morling’s main areas of interest include early diagnosis of disease, screening and ensuring equitable access to health services.
You must have experience in delivering multisite research projects, a BSc or higher degree, willingness to work in a inter-disciplinary team and be proficient with software used in research.

This job is available on a fixed term contract until 28th February 2027.
