Resident in Small Animal Internal Medicine – Australian Fellowship Pathway

Eastcott Referrals is excited to offer a unique opportunity for a passionate and motivated veterinarian to join our team as a Resident in Small Animal Internal Medicine, following the Australian Fellowship Pathway. This position is ideal for candidates seeking advanced clinical training and a structured pathway toward Fellowship of the ANZCVS (Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists).

About Us

Eastcott Referrals is a multi-disciplinary, RCVS-accredited specialist hospital located in Swindon, Wiltshire. We are proud to be part of the Linnaeus Group and offer a collaborative, supportive environment with access to cutting-edge facilities and a diverse caseload. Our Internal Medicine service works closely with other disciplines including Anaesthesia, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology, and ECC.

The Role

This residency is designed to meet the requirements of the ANZCVS Fellowship training program in Small Animal Medicine. You will work under the supervision of experienced specialists and Fellows, gaining exposure to a wide range of complex medical cases. The program includes:

  • Structured clinical training and case management
  • Support for ANZCVS Membership and Fellowship examinations
  • Opportunities for research, publication, and CPD
  • Mentorship in teaching and clinical reasoning
  • Rotations through complementary disciplines

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a veterinarian who is:

  • Eligible for Membership of the ANZCVS in Small Animal Medicine (or already a Member)
  • Committed to pursuing Fellowship and a career in specialist practice
  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Eligible for registration with the RCVS
  • Ideally has prior experience in referral practice or an internship
