Residential Conveyancing Paralegal

Location: Just outside Manchester City Centre

Working Pattern: Full-time, Office-based

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Role:

A well-established and growing law firm based just outside Manchester city centre is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join its busy property team. The successful candidate will support fee earners and assist with progressing residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion and post-completion.

This role would suit a paralegal with hands-on residential conveyancing experience who is confident handling files, enjoys client interaction, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with a full range of residential conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and freehold and leasehold transactions
Managing files from instruction through to exchange, completion, and post-completion under supervision
Drafting contracts, transfer deeds (TR1), completion statements, and other conveyancing documentation

Instructing and reviewing searches, raising and responding to enquiries

Conducting AML and source of funds checks in line with regulatory requirements

Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors to ensure smooth progression of matters

Preparing files for exchange and completion, ensuring all legal and lender requirements are satisfied

Handling post-completion matters including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications (AP1)

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on the case management system

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience as a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal or Conveyancing Assistant
Good understanding of the residential conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
Excellent communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach
High attention to detail and accuracy
Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office
