Brief Description
About the Role
As a Resourcing Business Partner Support, you’ll deliver a smooth, proactive end-to-end recruitment service—from attraction and selection through to offer and onboarding. You’ll partner closely with the Resourcing Business Partner and hiring managers across Sussex to ensure we recruit the right people in the right way.
Importantly, you’ll also support early engagement activities, helping to build future talent pipelines through careers events, school and college engagement, Armed Forces outreach and other community initiatives. You’ll be part of shaping how we attract the next generation of diverse talent into the railway.
Resourcing Business Partner Support – Sussex Route, offered as a part-time job-share (Monday to Wednesday) on a 1-year secondment/FTC until 7 January 2027.
About The Role (External)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing the end-to-end offer process, identifying improvements and championing consistent best practice.
- Providing expert advice on attraction, advertising, interviewing and capability-based selection.
- Working with managers to clarify job requirements and recommend the right resourcing solutions.
- Supporting and championing fair, inclusive and capability-led recruitment across all campaigns.
- Building strong relationships with HR Shared Services, suppliers and internal teams.
- Conducting data cleansing and helping to maintain accurate system records.
- Supporting colleagues during peak periods to ensure seamless recruitment delivery.
- Leading and supporting early engagement activities across Sussex.
What We’re Looking For
Essential experience & skills:
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to support, advise and influence.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused recruitment environment.
- Excellent organisation, process management and continuous improvement skills.
- Clear, confident communication skills at all levels.
- Good MS Office capability and experience managing databases or administrative processes.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys people-focused work and delivering great service.
- Ability to travel to different locations, throughout Southern

How To Apply (External)
Salary: Band 5 (£29,500-£33,000 pro rata) plus Inner London Allowance £3,270 pro rata
The position is part-time, working Monday to Wednesday as part of a job share, and is offered on a 1-year fixed-term basis until 7 January 2027.
