12 Month initial fixed term contract
Own vehicle required, monthly fuel allowance provided. This position will cover approx. 5 retail sites across London.
As a Retail Field Services Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting and fixing issues as they happen in the stores. You will perform break-fix, replacement of hardware as needed, quarterly health checks and projects
Scope of Services
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, analysis, diagnosis of all store IT equipment for End-Users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions.
- Install, configure, and test IT Store equipment including but not limited to POS, Mobile POS, RFID, Zebra printers.
- De-install and package legacy store equipment as necessary.
- Collaborate with Client personnel to enable efficient operation of Client’s desktop computing environment.
- Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation or IT retail equipment.
- Verify IT retail device connectivity.
- If necessary, liaise with third-party support and IT equipment vendors.
- Provide “smart hands” technical resources to support onsite hands-on support as directed, including infrastructure, Software/Applications.
- Perform installations, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC) on retail store hardware, which include installs, removals, relocation, upgrade, modify, or otherwise reconfigure retail store equipment and software as requested.
- Support all IT related equipment in the store via installation, repair/swap or Smart Hands, including but not limited to:
- register base.
- register display.
- register printer.
- register keyboard.
- debit pin pad.
- barcode hand scanner.
- integrated payment terminal.
- bed scanner.
- presentation scanner.
- POS controller.
- software reloads when cannot be performed remotely.
- coin dispenser.
- price verifiers.
- iOS devices and peripherals; fiscal print devices.
Required Skills And Experience
- Strong experience as Desktop support engineer
- Strong experience in supporting executive level users
- Network trouble shooting skills
- VIP Support skill
- MAC & Windows support
- Good knowledge of ticketing tools such as SNOW
- SCCM
- Acquaintance with Intune
