We are looking for a proactive, results-driven
Retail Operations Lead to oversee GNFR and vendor management in retail, focused on enhancing processes and driving efficiency across our store operations.
This key role will lead the
management and simplification of our GNFR, third-party vendors, ensuring streamlined operations, reduced costs, and stronger support for our in-store teams.
It will also play a key part in
the wider dept on continuous improvement, this role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on executor who thrives on driving measurable improvements, removing complexity, and embedding scalable processes that support operational excellence and commercial outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in
retail operations, with a passion for simplifying complexity, reducing costs, and enhancing in-store support services. This role will also cover their line manager when on leave.
Key Responsibilities
Third-Party Vendor & Service Provider Management
- Establish and proactive in managing relationships with key suppliers including fleet, music, footfall, printers, and consumables.
- Implement robust third party provide governance frameworks, SLAs, and KPIs; conduct regular service reviews and ensure contract compliance.
- Identify systemic improvements to end to end processes and SOPs to embed consistency, while proposing and suggesting improvements for the future
GNFR Procurement & Lifecycle Management
- Simplify and owns the worldwide processes management of GNFR categories to improve efficiency: hangers, bags, cleaning supplies, packaging, etc.
- Contract management of the group account with Quarterly and Annual formal reviews designed to deliver yearly efficiencies
- Oversee GNFR inventory across internal and third-party warehouses to avoid stock-outs, over-ordering and new additions.
- Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives without compromising service or quality, aligning spend and reductions in budget
Operational Process Improvement
- Identify and deliver improvements to end-to-end operational processes across retail operations functions.
- Develop, document, and maintain SOPs and internal guides for operational improvements
- Identify inefficiencies in store operations to then design and implement efficient process improvements
- Responsible for retail service desk in reducing contacts through systemic and innovative ways to enable stores to self solve
- Simplifies new store opening processes ensuring all third-party services are in place and functional for new store openings and closures.
We Would Like To Meet Someone Who Is
- Experience in a retail head office, store operations, or project support role.
- Deep understanding of GNFR and enhancements you have made
- Proven track record in identifying inefficiencies, streamlining processes, and implementing scalable improvements
- Excellent Excell skills
- 3rd Party vendor management
- Experience of working in a retail head office environment, ideally within Retail Operations and GNFR experience 3 years
- Strong IT skills – (particularly Excel)
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to challenge the status quo confidently
- High attention to detail and proofing skills
- Solutions focused and innovative
- Excellent knowledge of the retail sector, strong commercial awareness and customer focus
