Role Definition:
To ensure our products meet specification.
Supervise the Quality team to ensure our processes & products meet specification.
Support the management team in the supervision of quality, safety and legal standards in Retail.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervision of the quality team.
- Collate technical and quality data and follow through to close out of issues raised. (Root cause / 100 year fix)
- Ensure that high standards of GMP are observed within the factory environment.
- Understanding key requirements of BRC / Customer standards
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to maintaining high quality and technical standards in the factory environment.
- Lead small teams of QA operatives. Delegate tasks and cover upwards, not downwards
- Command respect from other functions to ensure that quality and technical standards are adhered to during the production process. Be able to influence and persuade others to adhere to site standards.
- Never gives up. Solutions driven. Cost aware. Need to remain positive and adopt a happy demeanour no matter what the issue.
- An unhappy and negative face can spread to those around you.
- Makes things happen. Sometimes take the lead when others are not taking ownership. This does not mean doing other people's job for them. Nor does it mean covering downwards.
- Able to clearly communicate in English (read, write, speak) during your working day. Able to influence within your area.Relay information and liaise with site staff (junior or senior)
- Understands the customer specification & standards within your area. Ability to prioritise the severity of a task and ensure the correct resource is allocated.

- Understands that at times we will need to help out in tasks / jobs that are not necessarily part of our routine activities. Leads active discussions about how to achieve tasks as a team
