The Role

We are looking for an energetic Retail Team Leader to play an essential role in the heart of our Retail department. You will lead a team of passionate Section Coordinators and Casual Workers and ensure that all key operational retail areas have consistent coverage on a day-to-day basis.

In this important role, you will monitor and review the team's activities to ensure the commercial and retail operational standards are being executed to the highest level, making sure we're delivering a fantastic supporter experience day in day out.

Your day-to-day

  • Deliver great service - you'll ensure we're delivering the highest standards of in-store experience
  • Uphold operational excellence - you will ensure all back-of-house tasks are completed such as training, payroll submissions, holiday requests and staff rotas to ensure a smooth experience both on matchdays and non-matchdays at our Highbury and Armoury stores'
  • Lead by example - you'll take on line management and coordination responsibility for our passionate Section Coordinators, Casuals and Matchday Workers to ensure the achievement of our KPIs and objectives
  • Inspire high performance levels - you will play an impactful part in keeping our Section Coordinators and Casual Workers engaged and motivated, and you'll ensure they are performing their role to an exceptional standard
  • Support the Retail team with in-store events - you'll work closely with the wider team on the delivery of kit and product launches, store events, matchdays and retail kiosks
  • Maintain key requirements - you will take great pride in ensuring that we're adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • Track record in managing a team - you are confident in leading a retail team while completing cash management duties, managing staffing rotas in line with deployment models and management of all supporter touch points across our store operations
  • Experience in retail - you come with a background of providing exceptional supporter service in a fast-paced and busy in-store environment
  • Supporter-first mindset - you're dedicated to ensuring that all supporters receive an engaging and seamless experience
  • Inspiring coaching skills - you're well versed in directing retail teams to provide first class supporter service and to uphold store standards
  • Passion for visual merchandising - you know how to turn heads and intrigue our supporters in a way that's authentic to our brand
  • Resourceful and proactive approach - you're able to coordinate a large team of retail staff and ensure all bases are covered
  • True team player - you're always happy to collaborate with a range of colleagues to provide excellent levels of support as and when required
