Job Title: Revenue Finance Analyst (FTC 12 months)

The Job
AVEVA is seeking an experienced revenue finance systems specialist to help create high performing, standardised end-to-end revenue processes that meet the requirements of PCAOB standards and support AVEVA’s reporting needs.
The revenue specialist will be responsible for understanding and improving global end-to-end business processes for revenue. This will be done in an environment of systems implementation and business integration projects, process re-engineering and a genuine transition to new ways of working. The role will report to the Global Process Owner for Revenue and will work closely with other key stakeholders including Group Controls, Process owners within Business & Commercial Finance, Transformation project teams, IT Functional consultants, Commercial Operations, Sales Operations.
Responsibilities
Act as a subject matter expert for our revenue processes & revenue recognition policy at AVEVA. Communicate with key stakeholders & manage different views and expectations escalating process decisions where necessary.
- Be responsible for the design and maintenance of revenue recognition rules within the system.
- Support creation of standardised, embedded end-to-end revenue processes which deliver compliance to both US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley standards. Ensure revenue processes are documented and fit for purpose – simple, practical, and scalable. Review and feedback on design decisions, process maps, SOPs, policies and control documentation.
- Engage with stakeholders and the user base to successfully deploy process changes, ensuring the justification is well understood; stakeholders are proactively involved in decision-making; and users are trained in the new ways-of-working. Perform testing of new revenue system/ ERP features impacting revenue and contract accounting as well as ad hoc testing of change request/ system request releases.
- Ensure all revenue process activities are PCAOB compliant - revenue risks are identified, documented, and mitigated and embedded financial controls in the revenue process are systemised as a default.
Skills & Qualifications
Ideal Skills
- Proven analytical competency and excel proficiency
- Understanding of IT interaction between process and related systems
- Experience in Navision, SAP, Oracle or Zuora
- Experience in ERP migration projects/ transformational programs
- Several years of experience in auditing or reporting revenue under IFRS 15
- Strong experience of understanding and interpreting control and operational risk
- Minimum bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics/ Business
- Building relationships quickly/interpersonal skills
- Language requirement: English
