Join AXA as a Reward Manager within our UK People Programmes team and play a vital role in shaping our reward and performance management strategies amidst exciting business transformation initiatives. In this project-driven position, you’ll design and recommend innovative approaches to job evaluation, grading, pay benchmarking, pay range development, and incentive structures, ensuring they align with our evolving business needs.
Collaborating closely with the UK People team, Reward team, and key business stakeholders, you’ll help deploy current reward frameworks in new areas of transformation and develop forward-thinking performance management practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in evaluating new job descriptions for accuracy and industry alignment, developing competitive pay ranges, and designing incentive programs that motivate employees to achieve key objectives. Additionally, you'll provide guidance and support to HR and management teams on reward-related matters, helping AXA attract, motivate, and retain top talent during this dynamic period of growth and change.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) towards the end of 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate with the AXA UK People team, UK Reward team and business stakeholders to make recommendations on how AXA UK’s current reward (compensation) and performance management structures might be deployed in new areas of business transformation
- Devise how AXA’s performance management approach might evolve in new areas of business transformation
- Evaluate (for pay and grading purposes) new job descriptions to ensure accuracy and alignment with the company's requirements and industry standards
- Benchmark, develop and implement competitive new pay ranges and salary structures to attract and retain top talent across new areas of business transformation
- Design new bonus constructs and incentive programs that motivate and reward employees for achieving key performance indicators and business objectives
- Provide guidance and support to HR and management teams on reward and compensation-related matters

What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CCP, GRP)
- Proven experience as a Reward Manager or in a similar role, with a strong focus on job evaluation, grading, pay benchmarking, performance management and bonus/incentive design
- Experience of designing new Reward and Performance Management constructs as a part of business transformation initiatives
- Ideally, an understanding of Reward constructs (pay ranges, variable pay constructs) in agile Product-led organisational models
- In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits practices, including market pricing, salary surveys, and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends to make strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
