Role Purpose
We are seeking a Reward Project Manager to lead the implementation of the EU Pay Transparency Directive (EUPTD) across our European operations. This is a fixed-term role until June 2026, critical to delivering compliance, building reporting infrastructure, and embedding fair pay principles into our reward frameworks. You will manage project governance, collaborate across functions, and provide subject matter expertise on pay equity, reporting obligations, and associated change management.
Key Accountabilities
- Directive Implementation: Translate legislative requirements of the EU Pay Transparency Directive (EUPTD) into a structured implementation roadmap across affected countries, for both our corporate offices and leased and managed hotels.
- Project Management: Own the end-to-end delivery of EUPTD implementation, including milestones, risk management, reporting, and cross-functional coordination (HR, Legal, Finance, Talent Acquisition, Comms).
- Gap Analysis & Data Modelling: Identify current-state gaps vs. EUPTD obligations. Lead pay structure reviews, job classification transparency, and employee information disclosure assessments.
- Reporting & Compliance: Develop frameworks to enable consistent and auditable reporting of pay gap data, pay levels by category, and justification of pay differentials. Prepare documentation and ensure readiness for external reporting.
- Technology & Systems Readiness: Partner with HRIS and data teams to ensure systems support compliant data gathering, analysis and reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including Works Councils and Unions where applicable. Provide clear updates, escalate risks, and facilitate informed decision-making.
- Training & Communication: Support the development of training materials and comms plans to build internal capability and employee understanding around pay transparency.
- Integration: Align implementation with broader Reward principles, including Pay Equity strategy and ESG/CSRD disclosures.
Key Skills & Experiences:
- Proven experience in Reward or Compensation with direct exposure to pay equity, transparency, or regulatory compliance projects.
- Strong project management capability – able to drive structured delivery across matrixed environments.
- Deep understanding of the EU Pay Transparency Directive.
- Skilled in analysing compensation structures, benchmarking, and job levelling frameworks.
- Proficient in HRIS/reporting platforms (e.g. Oracle, Excel, Power BI).
- Adept at cross-functional stakeholder management and navigating legal/compliance interfaces.
- Experience managing confidential data with discretion and integrity.
- Background in multinational environments with exposure to European markets.
- Experience collaborating with legal counsel, ER, and employee reps on employment legislation.
- Familiarity with ESG and HR compliance landscapes.
- Professional certification in Compensation (e.g. CCP) or HR (e.g. CIPD) is advantageous.
