We are seeking an experienced Risk Analyst to support Eightcap's growth by identifying, investigating, and mitigating trading risks across the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trade investigations, data analysis, and risk management, with a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. This role plays a key part in driving our mission to provide an exceptional experience to both our clients and team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed trade investigations by analysing historical trading activities to identify irregularities and assess associated risks
• Investigate risk breaches and client behaviours by reviewing trading data, detecting policy violations including copy trading and prohibited strategies
• Manage payout exposure by reviewing daily payout trends, assessing financial risk, and supporting the implementation of risk mitigation strategies
• Assist in the development and refinement of risk management procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
• Perform SQL queries and data analysis on large datasets to extract actionable insights on trading behaviours and risk exposure
• Analyse and optimise existing risk frameworks and operational processes, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency
• Monitor compliance with internal trading policies, payout procedures, and regulatory requirements across risk management activities
• Identify inefficiencies in risk evaluation and payout processes, collaborating with technology teams to drive automation and process improvements
• Analyse market exposure, trading activities, and system functionality to identify and mitigate potential risks
• Collaborate with local and global teams to implement risk mitigation strategies aligned with company objectives
• Analyse trading execution concerning spreads, latency, and challenging flow conditions to identify risk factors
• Prepare reports and brief Senior Risk Dealers on emerging or evolving risk scenarios linked to past or upcoming market events
• Partner with other departments to ensure consistent company-wide implementation of trading risk initiatives
• Administer MT4/MT5 and DX Dealer trading platforms to support risk management activities
  
  

Requirements

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Business, Statistics, or a related field
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and data analysis skills, including experience with SQL and trade investigations
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  
  

Desired:

• Experience in the Forex or CFD industry with risk reporting capabilities
• Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency with databases and SQL
