I have just been mandated by a boutique bank to find an Enterprise Risk analyst work work closely with a high performing Head of Risk.
📌 Role Overview
The Enterprise Risk Analyst will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Bank’s risk management framework. This role involves identifying, assessing, and reporting on various types of risk across business lines, with a specific emphasis on credit, market, operational, and strategic risks.
You will work closely with business units to assess risk exposures, contribute to the enhancement of risk controls, and provide insights that support informed decision-making.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
- Conduct risk assessments across retail, trade finance, and corporate banking products and services.
- Support development and ongoing refinement of risk registers and key risk indicators (KRIs).
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess implications on the bank’s risk exposure.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen risk controls and escalate emerging risks.
- Prepare risk analysis reports and dashboards for Risk Committee and Board-level reporting.
- Participate in stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk modeling exercises.
- Work with Internal Audit, Compliance, and Credit teams to ensure a cohesive risk culture.
- Assist in enhancing data integrity and analytics used in risk decisioning.
- Help maintain policies and procedures related to risk governance and escalation protocols.
📚 Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Circa 2 years of risk experience in a financial institution
- Familiarity with risk regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, PRA/FCA guidelines).
Preferred:
- Experience working in or with small-to-medium banks.
- Advanced level excel
