Risk & Compliance Lawyer

A leading City law firm is seeking a Risk & Compliance Lawyer to join its expanding Risk & Compliance function. This is a permanent, full-time role offering high visibility and real influence across the firm.

Working closely with the Risk & Compliance Director (COLP), you will provide firm-wide advice on regulatory, professional conduct and risk issues, manage day-to-day compliance matters, and help shape policies, procedures and best practice as the firm continues to grow.

Key responsibilities

Advise on SRA Principles, Code of Conduct, conflicts, confidentiality and complaints
Draft, maintain and embed risk & compliance policies and registers
Support insurance matters, audits, accreditations and regulatory reporting

Deliver training and promote a strong compliance culture

Support data protection, HR-related compliance and contract reviews

About you

Qualified solicitor (ideally 5+ PQE)
Experience in risk & compliance within a law firm, or significant exposure from fee-earning
Strong working knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance
Confident, practical adviser with excellent communication and organisational skills
