Risk and Compliance Lawyer - Professional Indemnity

Are you a qualified solicitor with strong professional indemnity experience, looking for a new challenge?

RedLaw is working with a leading international law firm that is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Lawyer to join its Risk & Compliance function. The role involves advising on professional responsibility, regulatory and compliance matters, with a particular focus on professional indemnity insurance, claims handling, and complaints management.

Working closely with senior risk, compliance and insurance specialists, you will support the identification and management of risk across the firm, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and contribute to the development of best-practice processes and policies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing professional indemnity claims and circumstances, including liaising with insurers, brokers and external counsel
• Supporting insurance renewals and advising on coverage issues
• Handling client complaints and monitoring claims and complaints risk
• Advising on professional conduct obligations and regulatory requirements
• Assisting with policy development, training, reporting and risk projects

Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor or experienced insurance claims professional
• Strong knowledge of professional indemnity insurance and regulatory frameworks
• Confident, solutions-focused and able to manage matters independently
• Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and jurisdictions
