(Assistant) Risk Manager

Financial Services | Second Line of Defence

We’re hiring a Technology & Change Risk Manager to join a second-line risk team, supporting oversight across technology, cyber, data, and change risk in a regulated financial services environment.

This role is positioned at Assistant Manager / Manager level and is ideal for someone with around 5 years’ experience who is ready to step up in scope and exposure.

What You’ll Do

Provide 2LOD oversight and challenge across technology, data, information security, and change risks
Support senior risk leaders on technology strategy, transformation programmes, and operating model decisions
Review and challenge risk assessments, controls, incidents, KRIs, and remediation plans
Contribute to oversight of major technology change, third-party and intra-group arrangements
Support regulatory and assurance activities, including operational and cyber resilience
Produce clear risk MI and analysis for governance forums
Participate in thematic reviews and deep dives into priority risk areas

Who We’re Looking For

Around 5 years’ experience in technology, operational, or change risk
Currently operating at Assistant Manager or Manager level (or equivalent)
Experience in a second-line / independent risk function
Strong grounding in UK regulatory expectations (FCA, PRA, BoE, ICO)
Exposure to cloud risk and shared responsibility models (IaaS / PaaS / SaaS)
Confident communicator, able to challenge constructively
Keen to develop into a Senior Manager role over time
