Join us as a Risk Oversight Manager in Funds & Investments

What you'll do
As a Risk Oversight partner for the Investment Products & Solution Centre for Excellence (CoE), you'll be responsible for risk and compliance oversight, advice and challenge relating to funds and investments.
You'll be guided by management to provide effective day to day Risk oversight and challenge in respect of how the business operates to deliver good customer outcomes and in line with regulatory requirements.
Other key responsibilities will be:
- Supporting the provision of Risk & Compliance oversight, advice and challenge to the end to end customer journey with a pan risk lens
- Being a key contributor in the delivery of the business strategy and working with the business teams directly to oversee and input into product and proposition changes, including reviewing governance papers and representing second line risk at respective committees, projects and governance forums
- Supporting the business to safely manage risk exposures and regulatory conduct and compliance expectations in line with Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework (EWRMF), through proactive engagement with risk and policy owners
- Consulting with and inform management of the relevant franchise teams, to design and deploy innovative pan risk strategies that are relevant to the respective customer journey or product
- Supporting delivery of the annual compliance monitoring plan, including conducting themed compliance reviews and delivery of reports to management
- Supporting the delivery of risk and compliance reporting to key management company boards.
The skills you'll need
You'll bring a comprehensive understanding of consumer financial services sector risk management with particular knowledge of and experience in investments or asset management.
You'll also need an understanding of relevant conduct and regulatory compliance aspects of an investments or asset management environment such as knowledge of CASS, COBS, COLL, UCITS and MiFID requirements.
On top of this, you'll demonstrate:
- A working knowledge of the operational risk practices within an investments or asset management environment
- The ability to work collaboratively with and influence stakeholders
- Strategic thinking and the ability to simplify complex and conflicting tasks and policy positions, making sure these are effectively managed and communicated
