We're looking for a proactive, customer-focused, team player to join the Midlands Region's Route Managers team.
This is a role where you'll work proactively with internal and external partners, parish councils, local authorities, members of the public, to understand priorities and network needs across your area. Using your leadership and influencing skills, you'll influence, develop, and deliver our approach to managing and improving the Strategic Road Network within your area, and deliver results and improvements for our customers. You will be able to confidently represent National Highways in public forums and, where relevant, discuss with members of the public and external partners why no action may be taken.
We're always looking to improve our customer service across the Strategic Road Network, and a large part of this role will centre on delivering high quality results with a focus on improving safety and network performance, while providing exemplary customer service.

We address over 39,000 customer enquiries every month, plan and deliver all maintenance activities on the network, drive efficiencies and improvements across our systems and roads, and respond to incidents across 4,500 miles of motorways and major A-roads that we manage. All to make sure National Highways customers have safer, smoother, and more reliable journeys.
External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
