Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced RTE Technical Lead to lead and coordinate Agile Release Train (ART) operations, manage cross-team technical delivery, and ensure seamless integration between program-level and market-level activities. This role acts as both a Release Train Engineer (RTE) and a Technical Delivery Lead, supporting full delivery lifecycle from discovery to activation, with a strong focus on Agile, SAFe, DevOps, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Agile Release Train (RTE) Leadership
- Serve as a servant leader and coach to Agile teams, facilitating key SAFe events (e.g., PI Planning, ART syncs).
- Ensure timely delivery and monitor progress against milestones and OKRs.
- Proactively identify and resolve delivery risks, impediments, and cross-team dependencies.
- Promote continuous improvement and Agile maturity across ARTs.
2. Planning & Governance
- Lead and execute PI Planning; collaborate with ART teams to prioritize features aligned with strategic business goals.
- Maintain transparency via regular stakeholder communication and reporting on delivery status, risks, and metrics.
- Manage RAID logs and enforce Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) compliance.
- Partner with Product Owners (POs), Product Managers, and CEBPs to drive market readiness, track deliverables, and support Go/No-Go decisions.
3. Market Activation & Go-Live Support
- Oversee Market Activation including user testing, integration testing, authoring, and warranty period management (90 days).
- Ensure alignment with Market Commitments and support smooth transitions during go-live and post-activation.
- Maintain RACI matrix, facilitate issue resolution, and track performance realization against agreed objectives.
4. Portfolio Office & Tools Management
- Own the Aha! tool strategy and adoption, driving consistency, training, and data integrity across the organization.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Office to generate leadership dashboards and ensure accurate EPIC roadmap alignment.
- Establish super user communities and practices to standardize tool usage.
5. Technical Leadership
- Coordinate with Solution Architects to align designs with enterprise strategy and guidelines.
- Lead technical solution design in Discovery and Solution phases (Horizons 2 and 4).
- Contribute to technical estimation (“T-Shirt sizing”), backlog preparation, and cross-team alignment.
- Monitor code quality, remove blockers, and foster a culture of technical excellence across ARTs.
- Coordinate external and 3rd party teams to ensure program-wide technical alignment and timely delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an RTE, Technical Lead, or similar Agile delivery leadership role in a scaled Agile (SAFe) environment.
- Strong technical background with ability to contribute to solution design and estimation.
- Experience with DevOps, Jira, Aha!, and Agile metrics tracking.
- Demonstrated success in multi-team coordination, risk management, and PI planning.
- Familiarity with market activation processes and enterprise software go-live strategies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and servant leadership mindset.
