RTR Accountant

Altum Consulting are working with a leading media business to recruit an RTR Accountant based in Salford, Manchester. This role will be hybrid, with 3 days working in the office.

RTR Accountant role:

• Deliver accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial reporting
• Prepare monthly revenue and cost of sales reconciliations, including related postings
• Reconcile stock and investigate aged/unreconciled balances
• Utilise reconciliation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Perform daily, monthly, and year-end accounting activities
• Support internal and external audit requirements
• Participate in UAT testing for system enhancements and SaaS updates
• Collaborate with Finance Operations and RTR teams to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain and update process documentation and standard operating procedures
• Meet service delivery targets and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to automation and finance transformation efforts
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Manage priorities effectively and take ownership of personal development

As an RTR Accountant you'll be/have:

• Qualified or Part-Qualified and actively studying for an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA etc.)
• Experience in an RTR department, working in a similar role
• Experience with process automation & system improvements
• Proficient with reconciliation systems and ERP systems
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach
