Provide management support to the Head of Safety Performance and Improvement. Work will involve:
- Safety data analysis and reporting
- Support to the Head of Safety Performance and Improvement, the Heathrow Safety Team and the wider Heathrow Unit
- Investigation and administrative support to the investigations team
Responsibilities
- Produce safety performance reports, including collation, analysis and interpretation of safety performance data in support of Heathrow reporting.
- Manage Heathrow Incident Reports.
- Raise initial unit investigations, collating any associated ATC and Airline reports and Media
Provide support as directed by the Head of Safety Performance and Improvement, in the following areas:
- Business reporting
- Internal safety reporting
- Tracking /updating safety recommendations
- Other safety tasks as defined by the line manager
- Provide support to the Head of Safety Performance and Improvement, the Heathrow Safety Team and the wider Unit including organising or supporting safety events, taking diary decisions, and if appropriate, taking remedial action to ensure the success of the activities such as support Safety survey activities
Qualifications & Skills:
- An applied knowledge of the NATS safety management arrangements and key Heathrow safety performance indicators
- An applied knowledge in RAT, safety data analysis and interpretation
- A good knowledge of Airport Operations, and the operations that take place within it (i.e. operational, engineering and supporting functions)
- The ability, desire and drive to motivate and influence at all levels of the organisation along with a desire to achieve change through the involvement of others
- The ability to proactively seek knowledge and data from NATS management and staff
- Desirable knowledge of Camtasia and Adobe Premiere Pro application, however training for these applications can be provided
- Sound knowledge of SharePoint based tools i.e. HUB/TEAM HUB design, InfoPath experience
- Proficient IT skills, with advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)
- Experience of working in an operational ATC environment is preferable

- The proven ability to build strong working relationships and co-ordinate a number of stakeholders, both internal and external to Heathrow, to deliver a specific outcome
- A self-starter with the ability to use their own initiative and act effectively as part of a small team
