JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Account Manager
Main Place of Work: Dingwall, Montrose or remote for the right candidate
Reporting to: Sales Manger
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated account manager to join our commercial team. This is a key sales role focused on driving revenue and strengthening relationships across global markets in the farmed salmon sector. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the aquaculture industry, particularly salmon farming, and a proven ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and grow sales of farmed salmon across assigned markets (retail, wholesale, foodservice, or export)
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets and margin goals
- Regularly visit clients and attend trade events, both locally and internationally
- Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and supply chain conditions to inform sales approach
- Collaborate with logistics, and marketing teams to ensure smooth fulfilment and customer satisfaction
- Use Navision systems and sales tools to track activities, report performance, and forecast demand
- Represent the brand professionally and with deep product knowledge
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of the farmed salmon industry or broader seafood/aquaculture markets
- Proven sales experience with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including internationally if required.
- High level of IT literacy – confident using Navision platforms, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and passport
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in international seafood trade, logistics, or export compliance
- Multilingual capabilities are a plus
