About Bowman Sculpture
Bowman Sculpture is a leading London gallery specialising in 19th- and 20th-century sculpture, with a growing presence in contemporary art. We work with private collectors, museums, and institutions worldwide, representing some of the most important sculptors in history.
In September 2025 we are relaunching with a refurbished gallery and new brand presence. We are seeking a proactive and creative Sales, Communications & Marketing Manager to lead this transformation online and beyond. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running from September 1, helping to establish a dynamic and engaging digital presence while supporting wider gallery operations.
The Role
This is a multifaceted position with a strong emphasis on communications, digital growth, and content creation. You will be responsible for managing and expanding the gallery’s online platforms, producing visual and written content, and ensuring brand consistency across all channels. Alongside these duties, you will support sales administration, exhibitions, and art fairs, working closely with the Director.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and grow the gallery’s social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and the launch of TikTok
• Develop and implement content strategies with a focus on measurable growth and engagement
• Design and produce catalogues, invitations, newsletters, presentations, and social media assets
• Photograph artworks, installations, and events; edit images and videos for online use
• Maintain and update the gallery website (WordPress) and online sales platforms (Artsy, Artnet)
• Draft and distribute newsletters and announcements via Mailchimp
• Liaise with PR contacts and support media coverage
• Support sales operations with client presentations, catalogues, and communications
• Assist with art fair planning, logistics, and administration
Skills and Proficiencies Required
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) – essential
• Video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar) – essential
• WordPress or similar CMS
• Mailchimp or equivalent email marketing tools
• Photography and photo editing skills (ability to cut out sculptures and scale them into client images is highly desirable)
• Experience managing and growing social media platforms, including TikTok
• Strong writing skills for digital and print communications
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines
Desirable
• Experience in the art or luxury sector
• Familiarity with Artsy, Artnet, and other digital sales platforms
• Experience supporting art fairs or cultural events

• Holiday: Approximately 5–6 weeks annual leave, including gallery-wide closures in August and over Christmas/New Year, plus all UK bank holidays. Individual leave requests can be discussed as needed, though the rhythm of the year follows these closures.
• Working Hours & Flexibility: The role includes occasional evening or weekend work during exhibition installations, art fairs, and events. Flexibility is essential.

Start Date
1 September 2025. The role will begin remotely, with in-person work resuming mid-September. The candidate must be available in London from September 1 to collect their new laptop and commence work.
