We are looking for a personable, motivated administrator who has good Sales Ledger, Credit Control and Cashier experience to join our Sales Ledger & Cashiers team based in our Edinburgh, Citypoint office. You will work as part of a team of six, maintaining control of NATS debtors’ ledgers, ensuring exposure to financial risk is minimised. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and accurate processing of all customer sales invoices, the allocation of daily bank statements, cash receipts and processing of cashier payments. This role will also involve efficiently controlling customer records, bank and cash accounts.

Duties Include
- Reviewing aged debt reports, investigating bad debt and taking appropriate credit control action where required
- Downloading daily bank statements from online banking systems
- Upload bank statements to SAP systems
- Reconcile daily bank statements with SAP bank/cash accounts
- Accurately allocating cash receipts to debtors’ ledger
- Maintaining accurate customer details records
- Accurate processing of sales invoices to agreed timescales
- Processing customer credit card transactions
- Process customer cheques for banking
- Accurately record billing and sales receipts to sales and general ledgers
- Ensuring procedures and documented, reviewed and updated
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a sales ledger, credit control position
- Strong knowledge of accounting procedures
- Excellent practical knowledge of Excel
- Experience of SAP is preferable but other finance systems also considered
- High attention to detail
- Strong team player
- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
Additional Vacancy Information:
Please note - This position is currently part time, working 17.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday mornings). Additional part time working hours may be considered, however this is not currently available as a full time position. The salary listed is FTE and will be pro rated depending on hours worked.
