You’re a forward-thinking, self-motivated relationship builder and a vibrant communicator with a proven talent forgetting things done. As Sales Manager, you’ll own and deliver key sales objectives through meaningful partnerships with our account network, driving growth and maximizing engagement.
This role is pivotal in building and strengthening head office relationships across Red Hot Accounts, Key Accounts, Developing Accounts, and New Business, driving commercial performance and brand presence. With a sharp commercial focus and a deep understanding of Virgin Voyages’ unique brand appeal, you’ll help partners activate powerful marketing assets and drive lead generation that converts into bookings. You’ll also play a role in supporting First Mates on the front line (when required), equipping them to convert every lead and maximize every opportunity.

As Sales Manager, you’ll inspire confidence, drive growth, and contribute to making Virgin Voyages the most loved and admired sales team in the industry.
To jump aboard this role, you’ll need to already be located in the UK with full working rights to live and work here. The rate of pay is targeted at £55,000.00 annually, plus added bonus incentive and allowances to sweeten the voyage.
What You'll Be Up To
- Build and manage high-impact relationships with account partners, driving commercial outcomes and maximising sales performance.
- Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to achieve revenue, booking, and market share targets.
- Deliver account override performance and provide commercial recommendations to increase booking conversion.
- Be commercially astute, always identifying growth opportunities and taking a proactive approach to driving incremental revenue.
- Lead commercial negotiations with senior partner management, confidently overcoming objections to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including International Marketing, Global Trade Engagement, Revenue, and Support teams to deliver integrated, commercially effective strategies.
- Represent Virgin Voyages as a brand ambassador at industry events, trade shows, roadshows, conferences, and B2B/B2C engagements, both domestically and internationally.
- Drive engagement, delivering impactful training and sales support to increase First Mate confidence, lead conversion, and repeat business.
- Conduct competitor analysis and share insights to inform sales planning and commercial decisions.
- Uphold the Virgin Voyages brand values, ensuring we remain brilliant to do business with and a standout partner in the industry.
- Actively contribute to a high-performance sales culture, sharing best practices and supporting team success.
- Confidently present to large groups, both internally and externally, as a key spokesperson for the brand.
- Take on additional duties as required to support overall sales performance and business goals.
SuperPowers Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience (minimum 3+ years in a sales role required).
- Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience; cruise industry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success in growing business from accounts across varied sales models.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to lead complex negotiations and navigate challenging discussions to
achieve positive outcomes
- Strong knowledge of the cruise market, with an understanding of sales strategies across multiple segments.
- Deep appreciation for the importance of delivering exceptional customer and partner experiences to drive business success.
- A proven track record of delivering and exceeding personal and team sales targets.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with confidence delivering to both small and large audiences.
- Ability to think creatively, challenge industry norms, and bring innovative ideas to life.
