Job Description
The Sales Specialist – Managed Services is an expert advisor on the Wavenet Managed Services portfolio, supporting the Wavenet Sales Team as a consultant for both new logo and existing clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Drive growth of the Managed Services portfolio and other Wavenet services, working with new business and account management teams to identify new business opportunities in both private and public sectors
- Own and execute all phases of the sales cycle, including opportunity identification, solution presentation, commercial negotiation, and order processing alongside sales colleagues
- Become a subject matter expert for Wavenet Managed Services solutions, demonstrating product and industry credibility to customers and internal teams
- Understand customer business objectives, technical and commercial requirements, and match these to relevant solutions
- Work as overlay with Sales teams and marketing to proactively identify Managed Services sales opportunities in existing and new accounts
- Lead commercial negotiations for professional services Statements of Work (SoW) with customers, typically valued between £50k - £500k
- Support sales teams in orchestrating proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and assist in generating SoWs
- Contribute to opportunity qualification for complex migration, transition, and transformation projects
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure innovative, sound commercial and technical solutions meet customer objectives
- Contribute to the development of the Wavenet Managed Services proposition, collaborating with various internal stakeholders
- Achieve relevant sales and vendor certifications
- Carry out any 'ad hoc' assignments as required and comply with company health and safety policies
Qualifications
What you need to have:
- Proven track record of sales performance in the UK Managed Services marketplace
- Strong understanding of modern Managed Services solutions, including end user services, technical managed services, and SIAM models
- Experience with key vendors and emerging trends in the industry
- Excellent communication skills, including presenting strategic solutions to C-Suite
- Ability to create, manage, negotiate, and close substantial Managed Services contracts
- Strong numeric skills and attention to detail
- Ambitious, flexible, and goal-oriented with a drive for self-improvement
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Hubspot (preferred)
- ITIL 4 Managing Professional certification (desirable)
