Sales Support Manager to lead and develop a team of Sales Support Specialists.
A day in the life of a Sales Support Manager…..
As the Sales Support Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of up to 10 Sales Support Specialists. Your primary focus will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality operational and service requirements for our Sales community, supporting over 400 end users across multiple categories and all channels within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of Sales Support Specialists to deliver exceptional service and operational support.
- Best Practices: Drive best practices in end-to-end (E2E) processes to ensure internal administration is executed right the first time, supporting our external business planning effectively.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and develop strong cross-functional relationships across all serviced categories, including Procurement, Marketing, Supply Chain, Technical & Production, and Quality Teams, as well as engaging with our Head of Sustainability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain close contact with key stakeholders across counterpart teams, aligning ways of working and driving a consistent approach to service delivery and best practices.
- Coaching and Training: Coach, train, and develop team members to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles effectively. Support career and personal development aspirations through quality Performance Development Plan (PDP) discussions.
What will make you successful?
You will have proven experience in a leadership role within a sales support or operational environment. A good communicator, you will be motivated to be part of a team, build great relationships within the team and with stakeholders, be open to how we can continuously improve as a team, and be the best!
Other key experiences we’re looking for include
:
- Strong understanding of E2E processes and best practices in service delivery
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset
- Understands all Sales functions i.e. CDT, Customer, Field
- Good understanding and networks across the NiM businesses
- Experience of leading change successfully on cross functional projects or initiatives
- Experience working within a matrix environment, achieving results through effective influencing and collaborating
- Self-motivator with the ability to energise teams
