SAP Developer

Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace UK has an exciting opportunity for a SAP Developer to work remotely.

• Full-time-permanent position
• 39 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm / Friday 8am – 1pm
• Job location: Remote
• Unionised site – works in partnership with Unite the Union.
  
  

In this role you will collaborate with the SAP Functional team alongside business process owners to provide enhancements to the system based on business requirements. You will be responsible for converting functional and technical specifications into solutions that add value to the business. This will involve leveraging the best SAP technologies to ensure future-proofed solutions are built using best practice tools and approaches.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conversion of functional requirements (business blueprint documents) into technical specifications
• Provide development estimates in a timely manner and communicate deliverable issues
• Ensure adherence to development standards and quality assurance
• Implements and maintains best practices for program documentation, code creation, data dictionary maintenance and change management process
• Engage productively with internal and external stakeholders
• Unit and system testing of all developments
• Support BAU activities
• Provide weekly work stream status reports to the project management team
• Keep pace with the evolving S/4HANA roadmap to adapt and exploit new capabilities
  
  

Position Requirements

• Relevant higher education or degree is desirable.
• Recognized technical accreditations are desirable but not essential.
• Minimum 3 years SAP development experience.
• Experience with traditional development toolsets, i.e ABAP tools, Eclipse.
• Experience with S/4HANA technologies, e.g. Fiori/U15 development, extensibility, Fiori analytics, Adobe Forms.
• Experience with cloud technologies, e.g. BTP, BAS, Integration Suite.
• Experience with web technologies/languages, such as HTML5, Javascript, CSS.
• Experience of developing reports in technologies such as ABAP reports, CDSviews, oDATA.
• Can rapidly absorb, adapt and exploit new capability as SAP continues to develop S/4HANA.
• Able to collaborate with clients, and have a strong desire to excel.
