Job Summary:
The Enterprise Architect designs and articulates technically sound, business-aligned SAP solutions (Build and Run services) that address client challenges, leverage SAP technologies, and support winning proposals.
Core objectives include:
- Deeply understanding client business requirements and strategic goals
- Translating these into robust, scalable, secure SAP architectural blueprints
- Ensuring feasibility, integrability, and sustainability of proposed solutions
- Acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the presales cycle
- Educating clients on SAP capabilities and best practices
- Supporting growth by working with Client Partners to identify SAP opportunities
Opportunity Qualification & Deal Strategy:
- Evaluating opportunities against company capabilities and success likelihood
- Defining win themes, USPs, and competitive positioning
- Identifying key client drivers (e.g., cost, efficiency, compliance, innovation)
Proposal Development & Bid Management:
- Leading cross-functional bid teams (sales, architects, SMEs, legal, finance, delivery)
- Managing RFIs, RFPs, and Statements of Work (SOWs) with high-quality outputs
- Coordinating bid resources and meeting deadlines
- Managing bid governance and review cycles
Commercial & Financial Acumen:
- Developing and validating pricing strategies and commercial models
- Conducting risk assessments and defining mitigation plans
Deal Closure:
- Driving deals to successful, timely closure while meeting sales targets
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Engaging with C-level and other key stakeholders
- Clearly articulating our SAP value proposition
- Aligning internal stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle
Duties/Responsibilities:
Requirements Analysis & Discovery:
- Leading client workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions
- Documenting business and technical requirements for Build and Run services
- Analysing pain points, IT infrastructure, and integration points
Solution Design & Architecture:
- Designing end-to-end SAP solutions (application, data, integration, infrastructure)
- Developing solution blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and roadmaps
- Ensuring scalability, performance, compliance, and adherence to SAP Clean Core
- Optimising for operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness in AMS and cloud contexts
Technical Leadership & Advisory:
- Acting as the technical authority and advisor throughout the presales process
- Educating clients on SAP (S/4HANA, BTP, industry solutions, AI)
- Leading discussions, workshops, and presentations for both technical and C-level audiences
Solution Defence & Proposal Support:
- Defending proposed solutions’ technical and business value
- Providing technical content for RFIs, RFPs, SOWs, effort estimates, and resource planning
- Supporting PoCs, demos, and prototypes to showcase solutions
Staying Current & Innovation:
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of SAP products and industry tech
- Contributing to reusable assets, accelerators, and innovative offerings
Required Skills/Abilities:
Deep SAP Technical Expertise:
- S/4HANA (all deployment models, greenfield/brownfield/selective transitions)
- SAP BTP (Integration Suite, Extension Suite, SAP Build, Analytics Cloud, Clean Core)
- SAP Fiori/UI5 for UX principles
- ABAP: solid conceptual understanding (not necessarily hands-on)
- HANA: architecture, modelling, and performance
Cloud Architecture:
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP IaaS/PaaS services for SAP workloads
- Knowledge of RISE with SAP and managed cloud concepts
Integration Architecture:
- Proficiency in SAP Integration Suite, PI/PO, API Management, Event Mesh
- Designing integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems
Enterprise Architecture Frameworks:
- Familiarity with common enterprise architecture methodologies
Solution Design & Modelling:
- Ability to create scalable, secure, cost-effective architectures and documentation
Client Advisory & Communication:
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to varied audiences
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
- Strategic thinking, analytical strength, and solution orientation
