Job Title: Satellite Systems Engineer
Location: Stevenage, UK (Possibility of Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months Contract - Possibility of extension
Job Profile:
- Interpret electrical and functional test requirements from specifications.
- Develop, debug, and execute test sequences/procedures for spacecraft systems using CCS, Elisa, and Java-based tools.
- Provide first-line support during spacecraft tests and investigate anomalies.
- Participate in test reviews and prepare reports. Participate in the Launch Test Campaigns.
- Support functional, performance, and environmental tests (TVAC, Magnetic, EMC).
Skills & Experience:
- Experience writing and debugging test scripts/sequences for spacecraft tests, preferably with Elisa and Java.
- Knowledge of spacecraft systems (Data Handling, Communications, Attitude Control, Power, Thermal, FDIR).
- Familiarity with TMTC databases and Linux/Unix scripting (bash); programming skills (C, Java, Python, TCL) are a plus.
- Competent with electrical test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, data bus monitors).
- Understanding of system testing, verification, and cleanroom protocols.
- Willingness to work flexible hours/shifts.
- Electrical integration experience is a plus but not essential.
