Description

We are working with a leading global IT consultancy supporting a high-profile end-customer programme within the UK’s Critical National Infrastructure (CNI). They are seeking an experienced Active Directory (ADDS) Design Specialist to lead the secure design and validation of enterprise-grade AD environments in highly restricted settings.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of identity, security, and resilience, shaping core directory services that underpin mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities

Lead design workshops with technical and security stakeholders to define ADDS configuration and architecture
Produce High-Level Design (HLD) documentation covering security, resilience, and integration requirements
Design, configure, and validate Proof of Concept (PoC) AD environments
Provide expert guidance on AD security hardening, tiered administration models, and secure operational practices
Advise on integration with Identity & Access Management (IdAM), Joiner/Mover/Leaver (JML), and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions

Essential Skills & Experience

Deep expertise in Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) architecture and security hardening

Strong experience with tiered administration models and secure Group Policy (GPO) design

Proven background integrating AD with IdAM, JML, and PAM platforms

Hands-on experience producing HLD documentation and delivering PoC deployments

Experience working in restricted or secure infrastructure environments, ideally within UK CNI

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior technical and security stakeholders

This will be a 6 month contract role working PAYE / Inside IR35 and you must be SC Cleared to be considered.
