SC Cleared Full Stack Developer - Azure & GCP Experience (Outside IR35)

Methods are looking for a SECURITY CLEARED, Full Stack Developer for an initial 3 - 6 month contract. You will have experience with Azure & GCP. We're looking for a multi skilled Developer with experience in the following tech;

Frontend Development

• JavaScript/TypeScript
• React.js (GOV.UK Design System/GOV.UK Frontend)
• Accessibility (WCAG 2.2 compliance): Semantic HTML, ARIA roles, keyboard navigation
• Form building UIs: Dynamic and schema-driven form rendering
• State management (eg Redux or React Context)

Backend Development

• Python (Primary language for pipelines and Back End logic)
• Node.js
• .Net Core
• API design - RESTful and event-driven patterns
• Authentication/Authorisation (OAuth 2.0, JWT, One Login integration)
• Data validation logic - schema validation, field-level rules, historical comparison

Cloud Platform: Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• BigQuery: Loading, querying, and optimizing datasets
• Cloud Functions: Serverless execution of Python-based transformation
• Cloud Storage (GCS): Secure storage of survey data
• IAM roles and policies: Secure access management
• CI/CD pipelines - Google Cloud Build

Testing and Quality Assurance

• Unit and Integration testing: Python (eg pytest, unittest)
• End-to-end testing: Tools like Cypress or Playwright
• Accessibility testing tools: Axe-core, Lighthouse, WAVE
• Performance testing: JMeter, k6

Advantageous

Data Engineering & Integration

• Data pipeline development using Python (ETL/ELT)
• Schema validation & transformation
• Integration with external systems:
• Secure ingestion of data to BigQuery from submitted surveys

Security & Compliance

• Secure-by-Design principles
• GDPR compliance and data handling
• Secrets management (eg Secret Manager or environment-based controls)
• Auditing and logging for data access and changes

Soft Skills & Collaboration

• Agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban, ceremonies)
• Communication with non-technical stakeholders
• Participating in Show & Tell, planning, and retrospectives
• Pair programming and code walkthroughs for KT
• Contributing to shared documentation and wikis (eg Confluence)

Bonus Skills

• Experience with schema-driven form generation (eg JSON Schema)
• Kubernetes (GKE) if container orchestration is used later
• Looker Studio/Power BI: Supporting data visualization
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM)
• GOV.UK Notify (email/SMS)

This role will require you to have Security Clearance.
