Job Purpose
Join our team as a Scheduling Team Leader to manage incidents and emergencies, ensuring minimal impact on assets, employees, and communities. You’ll lead planning, resource allocation, and performance standards, while maintaining strong relationships with field teams. Drive consistency, respond swiftly to urgent requests, and keep operations running smoothly across Water and Wastewater functions.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Manage incidents and emergencies to minimise impact on company assets, employees, and the community within Water and Wastewater operations.
- Communicate accurate information to employees, contractors, and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond promptly to field issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate resource planning, including absence recording and holiday approvals, to optimise workforce efficiency.
- Collaborate with field teams to address backlog, data quality, and maintain strong working relationships.
- Lead on standards and improvements, ensuring consistent performance across planning, scheduling, and urgent request management.
Technical Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you'll need a good understanding of Water and Wastewater processes along with an understanding of company policy and procedures. You'll also need:
- Strong leadership and line management skills, with the ability to facilitate effective performance conversations and drive team success.
- Proficient in MARS applications and Work Planning systems, ensuring accurate data capture and professional representation of the business function.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with strong interpersonal abilities to deliver a high-quality service and influence change effectively.
- Highly adaptable and resilient, able to manage fluctuating workloads, high volumes, and work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexible to support Water & Wastewater operations during operational hours, demonstrating commitment to business needs and continuous improvement.
