Job Description
Outwood Academy Bydales is an 11-16 school located in the beautiful coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea, close to the North York Moors National Park and with spectacular views of the coastline. We are extremely proud of our tradition of serving the families of the community of Marske and surrounding areas. Our recent Ofsted Inspection recognised the many strengths of the school as we secured judgements of Good across all areas. The report was extremely positive and had many highlights, including that we are 'an ambitious school with high standards', that 'Staff care deeply for pupils', that ' Pupils are happy and demonstrate industrious attitudes to learning' and that 'Pupils experience great success'.
We wish to appoint an energetic, enthusiastic and inspirational Art and Technology Technician with a strong commitment to working with young people in an educational setting. Applicants should possess level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent) and be keen to undertake further development/education.
You will work closely with the Technology department to deliver an efficient and effective support service to staff and students. Previous experience in an education environment, and assisting with practical lessons would be an advantage but is not essential.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills which will allow them to engage with students and the technology team. A flexible approach to work is a prerequisite as the role will require supporting staff and students in the classroom. You will also have the confidence to be able to use all equipment and machinery fully, however training will be provided.
