Key activities
- Reporting to the Head of PDM (Private Debt Mobilization) Infrastructure and Fund Finance Europe within a team of 8 members
- Analyse and originate underwriting opportunities and/or value-added financing solutions within the overall Infrastructure (incl. Energy, Core and Digital Infrastructure) and Fund Finance space.
- Availability and capability to pitch the underwriting and business opportunities to clients as well as to present the same transactions to the different internal underwriting, business and credit committees.
- Work closely with the origination teams on the arranging, structuring, pricing and liquidity assessment of different financing opportunities to pursue value added transactions (underwriting throughout the entire capital structure, including Subordinated Loans, Principal Finance and/or Capital Finance opportunities).
- Actively participate in defining the Syndication Strategies and in leading the coordination between the different teams to ensure a smooth and value-added process.
- Proactive approach to arrange and attend investor meetings and/or stablish relationships with existing and new potential investors.
- Manage and coordinate mobilization strategies both on primary and secondary markets to meet internal requirements. Work closely with the new initiatives team within PDM to potentially explore new distribution routes both for primary and secondary loans.
- Gather market intelligence on any transaction within the covered sectors to be always updated on comparable transactions in the market to give accurate views and advice to the origination teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong direct experience in M&A, debt advisory and/or Structured Finance. This should include understanding / running financing modelling as well as elements on pricing, legal documentation and an understanding of the credit.
- Previous experience on Infrastructure lending / advisory across Europe.
- International experience would be highly valuable.
- Degree level in a relevant subject (engineering, Finance, Law, Science, Mathematics, etc)
- Strong analytical and financial knowledge (incl. financial modelling) will be required.
- Understanding of the key fundamental structuring features within the Structured Finance space, with a clear focus on cash-flow and/or value lending analysis to provide solutions on the different layers of the capital structure.
- Know-how of the broad debt capital Market dynamics (bonds, rating methodology, etc) to provide relative value solutions.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task effectively in a busy and dynamic environment as well as the ability to work independently and remotely with teams spread across Europe.
- Strong excel skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and with certain degree supervision with a view to be completely independent within the short / medium term.
- Proactivity to originate new opportunities and creativity to think outside the box are highly valuable.
- Determination in achieving the annual budget target of the Infrastructure and Fund Finance Origination teams as well as the other PDM objectives in relation to amount of volume distributed, revenue generation, accomplishment of excess ratios, etc.
- Languages: i) English. Ii) Valuable: Spanish / French / German and/or Italian.
