Scientist / Senior Scientist I - Biophysics

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Scientist / Senior Scientist I to join our Biophysics Team within the Biology Department at Sigma, Biology Centre of Excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving scientific programs, conducting research, and developing new technologies in the field of biophysics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Designing and implementing experiments to study the physical properties of biological molecules and systems

- Analyzing data and presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address complex scientific challenges

- Contributing to the development of new methodologies and technologies

- Mentoring and training junior team members

Qualifications:

• Relevant BSc, MSc or PhD
• Academic or industrial experience of measuring molecular interactions via Surface Plasmon resonance (SPR), Grating-Coupled Interferometry (GCI) or Biolayer Interferometry (BLI)
• An understanding of how biophysical techniques can be applied in drug discovery projects
• Ability to problem solve and work independently
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
