Security Architect

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Security Architect to join our Technology Team here at Morrisons. This is a critical role responsible for designing, building, and implementing robust security solutions across our entire technology stack, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. You will be instrumental in integrating security best practices into the development lifecycle and acting as a subject matter expert for engineering and product teams.

Location: Morrisons Head Office, Hilmore House, Bradford, BD3 7DL

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday - Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office

Salary: Depending on Experience + Benefits Package

What you'll do:

• Lead the planning, design and governance of enterprise security architecture
• Define security strategies, standards and roadmaps for key programmes
• Shape secure by design practises across applications, infrastructure and DevOps
• Conduct risk based assessments and threat modelling
• Guide secure configurations (firewalls, WAFs, endpoint protection, IAM, Zero Trust)
• Collaborate across tech, vendor and audit teams to strengthen security posture
• Monitor emerging threats and continuously improve security frameworks

We're looking for someone who has demonstrated experience in IT security, ideally within large complex environments, you will also have a strong background in designing Security Reference Architectures.

We're also looking for someone who has:

• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise security tools
• Sound knowledge of frameworks and standards (ISO27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR, NIST CSF, CIS)
• Relevant qualifications, such as CISSP, CISA, BCS or similar
