We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading financial services clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer/Logging Specialist to join their team for a contract until the end of the year.
Job Responsibilities / Objectives
- A degree in a relevant field (or equivalent practical experience) is required, with professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSEC, or similar considered advantageous.
- Key technical competencies include hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g. Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar), a strong grasp of network security components, log management processes, multi-tier application architecture, and scripting capabilities.
- Candidates should bring solid experience in cybersecurity, particularly in areas such as security logging, incident response, forensic investigations, and audit remediation activities.
- Strong analytical skills are essential for reviewing security reports and uncovering potential vulnerabilities. Effective communication, collaboration, multitasking abilities, and a high level of attention to detail are also critical to success in this role.
- A good understanding of compliance standards (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and familiarity with industry frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001 is highly desirable.
