Security Governance Lead (SC Cleared)

*candidates require an active government SC to start*

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6-months

Location: 2 days per month in London OR Birmingham

Rate: £550-600 per day (inside IR35)

Responsibilities:

Act as Governance Lead within the GRC team
Work closely with the Head of GRC to deliver governance frameworks
Assess and validate technical designs, ensuring alignment with security principles
Drive improvements in cyber governance, processes and controls
Provide structured leadership and direction to a small team of security professionals
Represent GRC in technical discussions with wider delivery teams

Essential Skills:

10+ years’ experience in cyber security
7+ years in technical roles or conducting technical design assessments
Strong ability to review, challenge and support technical architects and engineering teams
Proven experience leading, mentoring or coordinating a small team (up to 4 people)
Strong communication, stakeholder management and governance skills
