How You Will Create An Impact
The Security Operations Scrum Master will help coordinate projects and tasks across various teams within Security Operations. They shall work with Security Operations leadership and the Technical Program Manager to help translate strategic objectives into work items and manage these efforts to completion with a variety of resolver groups across the Information Security Office. They will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the task and knowledge management solution within Security Operations, influence decision making on resourcing and capacity management, help design and implement changes to the Operating Model, as well as partnering with continuous service improvement efforts to evolve capabilities and services.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate projects and tasks across the technical teams within Security Operations
- Collaborate with peers from other organizations to deliver cross-function projects
- Work closely with the Head of Security Operations and Technical Program Manager to design and implement a program of work aligned to strategic objectives
- Lead standups with operational teams to prioritize and track BAU work efforts
- Track the remediation efforts of risks identified within Security Operations
- Own the repositories and knowledge management solutions within Security Operations, and be the primary coordinator of governance activities within the team
- Lead and mentor junior resources across the global team
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- At least 6+ years of overall experience in Information Security, knowledge of Security Operations and associated services desirable
- Experience working in complex enterprises and global organizations. Insurance and financial services experience desirable
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and coordinating technical projects
- Experienced in task management technologies (Jira, Confluence preferably), including the configuration of dashboards, reports, and workflows
- Strong project management skills, experience in operational environments desirable
- Proven ability to design and implement technical and non-technical delivery projects
- Experience in the design and delivery of Operating Models, specific to cyber security desirable
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate a variety of stakeholders from technical and non-technical backgrounds
- Consultancy or Professional Services experience desirable
- An understanding of cyber security operations processes, procedures, guidelines and solutions, including practical experience of cyber kill chain principles desirable
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
