Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Semi Senior Accountant role located in Leek. As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing company accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts, assisting clients with tax planning and compliance, and providing bookkeeping and payroll support. The role involves working closely with clients to offer strategic business advice and support, ensuring compliance with Making Tax Digital requirements, and utilizing cloud accounting tools like Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in company accounts preparation, VAT returns, and management accounts
• Proficiency in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and tax planning
• Experience with cloud accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
• Relevant accounting qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, or equivalent (part-qualified or qualified)
• Experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within an accounting practice
