We are seeking a Senior Account Manager – Retail to take full ownership of a leading UK retail account, driving strategy, performance, and long-term growth. With high visibility across the organisation, this role offers end-to-end commercial responsibility and the opportunity to influence product direction, partnership strategy, and operational delivery in a collaborative and values-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a major national retail account with full commercial and strategic responsibility.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across buying, merchandising, and technical teams.
- Develop and execute tailored growth strategies aligned with customer and internal goals.
- Take ownership of account P&L, including costing, pricing, and margin management.
- Manage critical path activities including NPD launches, seasonal promotions, and delists.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to inform category development and promotional planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across NPD, supply chain, marketing, finance, and planning teams.
- Drive forecasting accuracy and stock planning in coordination with internal teams.
- Present structured feedback and business reviews to senior stakeholders.
- Leverage wider group capabilities to drive efficiency and accelerate growth.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience managing a national UK retail account, ideally with direct ASDA experience.
- Proven success in commercial roles within Consumer Goods, FMCG, or retail supply.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of delivering forecasting, costing, and commercial planning.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build trust and alignment across internal and external teams.
- Experience managing NPD pipelines, seasonal launches, and promotional cycles.
- Naturally collaborative with a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to account development.
- Able to present in senior meetings; personable, professional, and well-prepared.
