Reporting to the Income Accounting Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely income reporting for our growing business.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Managing trading P&L and Balance Sheet accounting for all trading divisions, ensuring monthly results are recorded accurately and meeting tight reporting deadlines.
  • Supporting the finance automation project, including testing, process design, and improvements.
  • Contributing to the rollout of new brokerage systems, including testing and process enhancements.
  • Collaborating closely with regional CFOs and Business Partners on results and reporting.
  • Providing insightful analysis of the P&L and Balance Sheet for senior management on a monthly basis.
  • Assisting with external and internal audit requests, preparing complex lead schedules, detailed analyses, and offering well-considered solutions.
  • Working closely with the offshore processing team to oversee month-end journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Partnering with Finance Business Partners and other departments to address queries as they arise.
  • Building strong relationships within the wider Income team and across regional teams.
  • Driving change to improve departmental and team processes, while supporting the development of graduates and part-qualified students.
  • Leading the integration of acquisitions into core accounting systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and completing technical tasks as needed.

About You

  • A university degree or equivalent experience.
  • ICAS/ICAEW (or equivalent), ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
  • Experience working in a large or complex business environment.
  • Preferred (but not essential) experience in US GAAP, professional services, SOX compliance, project management, or implementing new processes and controls.
  • Strong organisational and influencing skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Adaptability to change and a flexible attitude to balancing multiple tasks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in process redesign and implementation.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
