The Senior Advanced Timetable Analyst role lies within the Advanced Timetable Team who are an integral part of System Operator, the function in which current and future timetables are developed. The ATT specifically focus on the long-term strategic aspirations of the rail industry. By understanding what the future requirements of the railway are, we can plan the long-term capability of the network, promoting the efficient use of network capacity. Our aim is to improve the railway for the millions of people who use it every single day.
What does the average day look like?
As a dedicated team member, you'll excel in your role by collaboratively crafting intricate timetables that meet diverse needs. Your work will be integral in delivering valuable insights to industry leaders, showcasing available capacity, and addressing constraints. You'll be at the forefront of developing service pattern options, adeptly assessing their advantages and risks, while actively engaging with Event Steering Groups and Passenger Service Contracts. Your eye for innovation will shine as you tackle complex timetable analysis and capacity optimization challenges. Moreover, you'll play a crucial role in providing solutions which support infrastructure programs and strategic planning initiatives, making a meaningful impact on the future of our organization and the communities we serve.

Essential Criteria
We're seeking a dynamic candidate who ticks all the boxes! You'll bring your expertise in developing timetable analysis using tools like TPS, ATTUne, RailSys, or similar industry planning tools. Your skills will shine as you create timetable outputs to fuel modelling tools like RailSys or Trenissimo. You’re coaching and mentoring experience in technical timetable planning and performance analysis will be invaluable as you collaborate with the team. You've got a track record of delivering on time and to high standards, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and embracing continuous improvement methodologies. Your knack for devising innovative ways of working and sharing best practices in a team environment is exactly what we're looking for.
