Brief Description

Are you passionate about engineering and making a real impact on the safety and reliability of our railway network? We’re looking for a Senior Asset Engineer [Geotechnics] to lead the monitoring and instrumentation of earthworks, drainage, and associated assets. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise in geotechnical engineering while working on projects that keep millions of journeys safe and sustainable.

About The Role (External)

Proven experience in geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, including installation, data collection, and troubleshooting.

Knowledge of data acquisition systems, analysis, and interpretation.

Hands-on experience with total station surveying units and monitoring instruments (e.g., inclinometers, strain gauges, tiltmeters).

Understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques.

Familiarity with CDM Regulations.

Desirable

• Chartered Engineer or equivalent geotechnical qualification.

Salary: £55,596 to £65,966 plus £3,270 London office allowance

The salary package also includes:
