Resource Management (RM) is a business-critical function at Deloitte. It ensures that we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations, available at the right time. As a member of the RM team, you will support the business unit leadership and practitioners, playing a crucial role in the implementation and delivery of RM services to provide operational excellence whilst supporting delivery of the business talent strategy. The role is people-focused and is founded on establishing effective working relationships with all key stakeholders as well as holding, or being keen to develop, a good understanding of Management Information.

As a Resource Administrator you will work with the support of the Resource Manager, Resource Planners and business unit leadership to support the scheduling of practitioners across Audit & Assurance. The role is pivotal in the implementation and delivery of Resource Management services to provide operational excellence while supporting delivery of the business talent strategy.

You will achieve this by working closely with audit teams and internal departments to ensure the effective deployment, utilisation and development of on and offshore resources.

Within this role, you will develop your stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills to prepare yourself for progression at a later stage.

Specific responsibilities:

• Build winning teams: contribute to budget planning and learn how we strategically allocate talent to maximize client value while balancing business needs and practitioner preferences
• Own the resource schedule: Manage all bookings and maintain the accuracy of the Dayshape resource planning system, to support in the delivery of a reliable business forecast across the financial year
• Track Performance: monitor metrics such as utilisation, available time, sickness levels and other non-chargeable activities – developing your understanding of how this supports the business in achieving its financial plan
• Plan for development: develop a detailed knowledge of the audit training and professional qualification pathways, ensuring practitioner compliance and schedule accuracy
• Become a trusted advisor: Build rapport with practitioners, understanding their individual goals and providing support for their career development.
• Drive Resource Management innovation: Embrace emerging technologies and support the transformation of our resourcing processes
• Join our team: Become a vital part of a close-knit Resource Management group.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

• Confident and skilled verbal and written communicator - ability to cultivate trusted advisor working relationships with practitioners, business unit team members and the wider Resource Management function
• A good working knowledge of Excel and a keen interest in Management Information (or a desire to develop expertise)
• Ability to plan and prioritise competing requirements - and to multitask, managing a significant workload under pressure with excellent attention to detail
• A track record of interacting effectively with empathy, impact and discretion, cultivating trusted advisor working relationships with Business Unit leadership, practitioners and team members

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
